Triathleteosaurus

Last night I had a birthday dinner with a bunch of coworkers, and the conversation turned towards my triathlete habit. My coworkers wanted to know if you were allowed to do "defensive" moves to block your opponents. After explaining the rules of the road to my colleagues, we began a wine-fueled discussion on how I could psych out my fellow opponents. After explaining how you try to increase your surface area to slow down on big downhills (as opposed to braking), I came up with the ultimate triathlon helmet. I present to you, the triathleteosaurus.

This helmet serves two purposes: first, with the push of a button the wings splay out to slow you down, but it also emits a velociraptor like scream that will immediately cause your opponents to drop back in fear.

Speaking of cycling, I have to admit that I haven't had an actual road session in over three weeks. Instead, I've been having torrid affairs with my indoor trainer while watching the tour de France, and I've been enjoying my beach-side trainer workouts. A bunch of us schlep our trainers and bikes to a park right by the beach, and a great coach leads us through strength and cadence intervals. It's definitely good for the morale to suffer around others.

On the heel front, everything is back to normal. I got a nice long run in today, with no heel pain. Seems as if things are back on track! Have a good weekend everyone!

lmao! If that helmet ever goes on the market, I'd be first in line to get one. You forgot the third function; great halloween costume! haha.
Beach workouts.... sounds so nice. Yay for no heel pain!

That looks like hot Maggs in that pic. So hard to love her as much as I do when I have to be her fat friend. I guess everyone has one, right? :D

I wish my trainer rides looked like yours!

Hahaha, that is just AMAZING. I love it! And also? Can we just talk about how jealous I am of your beach-side workouts?

Glad to hear your heel is back to normal!

.....Or , you could just be like the Swiss and go ape on the downhills and never mind slowing down.

I love the helmet. I am sure that many of your opponents will try and get out of your wheel as quickly as they can.

Great that the heel is back to normal.

Have a great weekend.

I am a little confused, do you drive your bikes to the beach so that you can set up your bike and ride it whilst not actually going anywhere?

That first picture is seriously one of the most disturbing thing I have seen in awhile. I am still baffled by the trainer ride at the beach, but then I guess things are a little different on a rock in the middle of the Pacific. (And I am jealous.)

The scream is the best part. I watched Jurassic Park. I'd certainly be scared!
