I have been using Sportwash for awhile since it is the only type of stinky gear detergent available around here. The folks at ProWash were kind enough to ship me their product for a comparison.
The first thing I noticed was the difference in packaging. Sport wash is sold in a hard plastic bottle. ProWash is in a plastic pouch. The inner tree hugger in me likes this very much. Less plastic=less waste. Prowash also has a see through pouch with volume lines marked so you don't have to bother with measuring in the cap. Simply keep your eye on the line and pour out what you need.
Sportwash:
- hard plastic bottle
- messy measuring cap
- Has that funky "scentless" scent
- $20 at my local running store
- eco-friendly pouch
- easy to measure by volume
- Gently scented
- Free Swag for me! (about $10 for you guys, nah nah nah)
And, you can get a coupon for $2 off my emailing feedback@drycleanerssecret.com. Make sure to tell em you want the coupon for ProWash.
Now get out of here you stinky runners and go do some laundry!
I've always wondered about those 'sport' washes. Thanks for the rview. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteNice review. I have very sensitive skin and can't use either of those products though.
ReplyDeleteMy running stuff also festers for a few days before washing it... and I am not ashamed to say that some of the outer layers may even get worn twice before washing, depending on what I have available.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about starting to wash all my running stuff seperate from everything else and I may try this wash since it is cheap at walmart and I can get a coupon.
How do you get all these wonderful freebies?
Sweet, I like that they sell it at Wal Mart. I definitely need to see if this will get that clean-but-reeks-after-one-mile stink out of my gear
ReplyDeleteI need to get me some of this.
ReplyDeleteI MUST check this out. I love the sportwash but am always easily convinced to give up brand loyalty.
ReplyDeleteI sucketh that way.
I'd have to buy it online. Walmart is the devil. LMAO.
ReplyDeleteI admit it.. I admit it.. I feel guilty and horrible to say something. I don't even know how to use the laundry. I haven't touch the washing machine since I've graduated from college. My wife will kill me if I touch the washing machine. It is the state of the art machine and she wouldn't let me touch it cuz I always screw things up. It is a heaven-send that my wife does the laundry. I don't even know what product she uses and it smells so good. Whatever she uses, I am a happy camper.
ReplyDeletesounds like something my clothes need to befriend, but my skin would reject it like lisa's probably would. great review though!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good purchase! I'll have to check it out! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteConsidering right now we are relying on the laundromat to wash clothes and I refuse to go more than once a week, my exercise clothes have a nice stench to them. Lucky for me, my Walmart is one of the "selected" and they had it. I'll be trying some soon. Thanks for the review and info.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had known about this stuff when I was training in Miami. We had some stank running gear.
ReplyDeleteI keep hearing good stuff about ProWash. Great review.
ReplyDeleteWait... we're supposed to wash our running gear?
ReplyDeleteMaybe that's why hottie-mc-hottiness won't talk to me in the weight room ;-)
Thanks for the review! I have Sport Suds which works okay, but I still have some stinky clothes!
ReplyDeleteNice review. I wonder if they have that stuff at our Walmart?
ReplyDeletesweet free swag for you and cheap(er) swag for us!
ReplyDeleteI might have to give that a try and see how it works!
I am currently in processing of reviewing this same product. Maybe I'll just link to yours and make it easy on me.
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays!
i'll have to see if it's sold in Canada! Great review :)
